Laundry sheets

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions for you, so everything is conveniently in one place without the hassle of searching for information. Use our clear list and save your time for more important things.

EcoHaus laundry sheets are universal and can be used for all colors of clothing. You can wash whites, colors, and blacks with them.

Sometimes it happens that during a quick cycle and low temperatures, there are traces left on black laundry. You can prevent this by following the correct procedure:

First, place the sheet in the drum, then add the laundry. This way, it will dissolve within the first few seconds of washing.

It is also important to keep the washing machine clean and to regularly clean the filter.

It depends on your preferences. If you prefer a more intense scent, we recommend adding fabric softener (the paper has a very subtle fragrance). However, even without using fabric softener, your laundry will be beautifully soft.

You can optionally replace regular fabric softener with an eco-friendly alternative - vinegar. It’s also great for musty laundry. If you want your laundry to smell nice, just add a few drops of essential oil to the fabric softener compartment.

EcoHaus laundry sheets are used by people with atopic conditions and those with problematic and sensitive skin. Feedback shows that they are suitable for 95% of people with atopic dermatitis. We recommend trying our test mini pack or the fragrance-free version for extremely sensitive skin.

The washing quality is comparable to regular laundry detergents from the drugstore, and they are intended for regular washing. If you want to remove a stain, first pre-treat it with a piece of EcoHaus laundry paper in hand - the coarse dirt must be removed as soon as possible. Only then should you put the laundry in the washing machine.

Not at all. The laundry sheet dissolves completely within a few seconds and transforms into laundry gel. By the end of the wash, there won't be a trace left.

It may exceptionally happen that during a quick cycle and low temperatures, there are traces left on black laundry. You can prevent this by following the correct procedure:

First, place the sheet in the washing machine drum, then add the laundry. This way, it will dissolve within a few seconds and leave no streaks.

It's because EcoHaus laundry sheets don't contain filler materials, like the water found in laundry gels (which makes up about 90% of them, by the way). Laundry sheets contain only active ingredients compressed into a thin layer.

The laundry paper dissolves in both low and high temperatures, and it can wash even in boiling water. It's suitable for quick washes or hand washing. It's important to place the EcoHaus laundry paper in the drum of the washing machine first, and then add the clothes.

The sheets contain only a few essential ingredients, so their scent may seem subtle after washing - it always depends on the water, material, cleanliness of the washing machine, and other factors. However, this is not a bad thing, and your laundry is well washed even without an intense fragrance.

If you desire a more intense scent, we recommend reaching for our laundry perfumes.

The EcoHaus laundry sheets are specially designed for travel. That's where their greatest strength lies. You can easily wash by hand or in shared washing machines.

They don't contain liquids and thanks to their lightweight and compact size, they can easily be packed into your carry-on luggage. You can also pack them in your backpack or handbag and have them on hand whenever you need. A bonus is that your handbag or luggage will smell great.

EcoHaus laundry sheets are a suitable laundry detergent for camping washing machines.

We have several more tips for you on how to use EcoHaus laundry sheets.

1) Hand washing clothes in the sink
EcoHaus laundry sheets are specially designed for hand washing as well. Thanks to their solubility even in cold water, you can wash your clothes by hand, for example, while on vacation. They can even handle carpets or upholstery. Just fill a container with water and add a sheet.

2) Pack them in your carry-on for travel
Due to their small size and lightweight, laundry sheets are the perfect solution for travel. Plus, they don't contain liquids, so you can easily take them in your carry-on or backpack.

3) Clean carpets and upholstery on sofas
You can clean by hand - just dissolve the sheet in a bucket. A better option, in our opinion, is a professional steam cleaner or carpet cleaner. Add one sheet to clean water instead of carpet cleaning powder.

4) Laundry gel for automatic dosing washing machines

Just add a few EcoHaus laundry sheets to the water in the right ratio and let it sit for a few minutes. It will fully replace the gel. And you'll save a lot of plastic and emissions.

For us, it's best to wait until the washing machine is full. Even with a smaller amount of laundry, you'll use the same amount of energy and water. However, if you insist on washing a small amount of laundry in the machine, you can easily tear the laundry paper, allowing you to dose the detergent as needed.

Silk garments require a gentle and careful approach when washing, as they are delicate and can easily be damaged. The laundry paper has a pH of 7, is neutral, and should not irritate silk. But it's good to keep a few things in mind:

Use low temperature: When washing silk, always use cold or lukewarm water to minimize the risk to the fibers.

Amount of detergent: Use only a little detergent so that the silk fibers are not overly saturated.

Hand washing: If possible, hand washing silk garments is safer than using a washing machine. But if you want to use a washing machine, choose a delicate cycle.

No spinning: Do not spin silk in the washing machine, as it could damage the fibers.

Follow care instructions: Always follow the instructions on the label of the silk garment and what the manufacturer recommends.

This also applies to other materials such as wool, merino, sportswear, and similar fabrics.

In the laundry sheets, you'll find ingredients like polycarboxylates and zeolites. They are great because they soften hard water and fight against dirt. Anionic substances help you dissolve impurities, while non-ionic ones dissolve fats and oils.

If you feel that it's not enough, try using a double dose of the sheets. And if the problem persists, consider adding a water softening supplement.

Generally speaking - yes. The papers are 100% biodegradable. However, we do not have any certification for use with wastewater treatment plants, so always consult the manufacturer of your specific wastewater treatment plant.
