Citric acid — limescale remover
Discover the power of citric acid. It easily tackles limescale, removes stains and helps keep your home clean.

Common mistake: Combining citric acid with sodium percarbonate (PUER) makes them neutralise one another and lose their effectiveness. Combining it with baking soda is equally ineffective — they also neutralise each other, leaving harmless foam. Use citric acid on its own for cleaning!
How to use: Cleaning the toilet is easy with citric acid. Sprinkle it into the toilet, where it slowly dissolves and works on limescale. After 20 minutes, simply brush the bowl to remove the deposits.
Limescale removal is useful in the kitchen too. Fill the kettle with 1 litre of water, add 2 tablespoons of citric acid and heat to 100°C. After boiling, rinse with clean water and finish with a sponge — your kettle will look like new.
Warning: Do not use white vinegar to descale electrical appliances. Although it works similarly to citric acid, it is stronger and can damage rubber seals and adhesives. Used in a kettle, it also fills your home with its distinctive smell.
Make a solution for polishing glass and stainless steel. Dissolve 2 teaspoons of citric acid in 1 litre of warm water. Spray onto the surfaces you want to polish, then wipe with a dry cloth. Citric acid removes marks and fingerprints and leaves glass sparkling.

Použila jsem pastu z kyseliny a prostředku na mytí nádobí a snažila se vyčistit skla u sprchového koutu. Úplně dobře tato pasta skla od vodního kamene nevycistila, zkusím prostě nechat déle na skle působit.
Použila jsem na vyčištění rychlovarné konvice a byla jsem velmi překvapená rychlým účinkem. Určitě vyzkouším i na kávovar. Čištění je rychlé, jednoduché a bez zápachu.
