How to remove raspberry stain:
A working procedure without panic

A story from life

"Raspberry season in full swing. Smoothies at home, garden outside - great until my daughter sat right down to mashed raspberries. Summer white dress, spots on the back and I completely froze. But my grandmother had shown me a simple technique earlier. Soda, lemon, and my nerves were saved."

- Klara, EcoHaus customer

What makes raspberries so tricky

Raspberries contain red natural dyes (anthocyanins) and small amounts of fruit acid. The juice tends to soak in deeply, and if baked with heat, the color "locks in." The key is therefore cold, quick reaction and proven remedies.

How to treat raspberry stain step by step

What helps:

  1. Cold water
  2. Baking soda
  3. Citric acid or lemon juice
  4. EcoHaus Washing Papers
  5. Sodium percarbonate - for white laundry

Procedure:

  1. Rinse the stain with cold water as soon as possible - preferably from the inside out.
  2. Apply baking soda to the spot, cover with lemon juice or a mixture of citric acid and water. Why it works: the acid breaks down the fruit dyes, the baking soda releases them from the fabric.
  3. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Gently wash, do not scrape.
  4. Wash with EcoHaus wash cloths on a regular eco programme. Why it works: The papers can handle pigment residue, sugar and any grease.
  5. For light-coloured laundry, add sodium percarbonate when washing. Why it works: Active oxygen breaks down dye residue without damaging the fabric.

What to watch out for

  1. Don't use warm or hot water. The pigment will bake into the fibre.
  2. Avoid ordinary bleach. It can leave an unsightly shadow.
  3. Do not scrub with a brush. The fibre will break and the dye will be absorbed more deeply.

➙ Tip from Grandma Petra

Soak the stain in cold water with a little lemon juice, let it sit for a while, then gently wash. Fresh juice is usually the best prevention.

➙ Tip from Vlaďka - the cleaning lady
